I have also noticed the "Recent Forum Topics" section in the left navigation section has also been much shorter than is typical recently. Also on an iPad / Safari.

Is it just the one toe that is exceptional then or do you have a set?

I have box of cards from the early 80s. My interest in them came and went relatively fast, especially since I had Whitman coin folders and a Harris stamp album to fill.

I have not laid eyes on them in years. So, if I were going to sell something...

Those are unfortunately not worth a lot because anybody and everybody was issuing sets then. Unless you happen to have one of the rarer rookie cards. Even with my 70s cards, with the exception of a very few cards, the local guy I know said we are really not interested as they have a large inventory of most cards and not that many buyers. So I will have to eBay them and see what I can get.

I have done two 7100 albums, a high grade one and a circulated grade one. I am missing the 09-S VDB for the circulated set currently, maybe I will do it someday.

If you are doing a circulated set, the 09-S VDB is the expensive coin, $500 and up if not higher. 09-S, 14-D and 31-S will run you $100-200 in circulated grades. The 70-S Small Date is maybe $50. Everything else is pretty affordable if you stick to circulated coins.

For my high grade set, it became tough when I started doing pre-1934 coins, especially when you get into D and S mint coins from 1928 and earlier.

I'm not a 22 plain person, I don't think that is part of a date / mintmark set so I just plugged that hole.

I have not bought anything new (coins) for awhile now and have been selling off a lot of the sprawl to try to focus on just a few nice pieces. Having lost a couple of family members recently made me realize it is really hard to deal with someone else's stuff. I am hanging on to my 7070 and my two 7100 albums since those are somewhat self contained. And I've kept some silver just because that is easy to sell. I sold off a lot of mint stuff and single type coins because they just didn't really mean a whole lot to me and my kids aren't going to be interested in them. My wife and I sold some other collectibles that we no longer had an interest in either.

Next up is selling off my early 70s sports cards. I will probably keep my 1973 Topps Baseball complete set but will sell off the rest of the partial sets and individual baseball, football, basketball and hockey cards from 71-74 that I collected as a kid. It's hard sometimes to let thing go but it is time.

If Graffiti is removed and the resulting area is smoothed over, would the TPG call it tooled or smoothed?

I don't know the answer but I do have one coin that was graded as "Smoothed" by PCGS. Only time I have seen that.

Everybody and their brother seemed to know that Josh Allen goes left on the QB Sneak. Except the Bills. So they got stuffed, the Chiefs made the plays at the end of the game and that was that.

Joe Burrow, you're our only hope.

p.s. Thanks Zurie!

I don't have any great advice except to keep trying different things to figure out how to best get good coin photos from that particular phone.

That said, the best coin photos I have gotten were from my old Canon A530 point and shoot camera. My 7070 pictures, for example, remain the originals taken with that camera. I've tried multiple times with subsequent, on paper better, cameras, and never gotten photos I am satisfied with.

How Do You Account For Your Coins In Your Balance Sheet?

Just to put an accounting slant on this, but the actual purchase of the coins would show up on an income/expense type statement, not a balance sheet. As would food or electricity expense.

The coins are a durable good (expected to last one year or more), so they would then also end up on the balance sheet as an asset. Collectible would be how I would categorize it.

As others said, I track my coin inventory and approximate value in a spreadsheet. I don't really consider it as part of my overall net worth as it's not a significant percentage.

You can also get a better price from a LCS if you catalog everything in advance and show up organized - here's what I've got, here's what I think it might be worth (at retail). That's far better than showing up with a box and expecting them to go through it and value it. Of course they are a dealer and are going want to make something on any resale, so you have to factor that in.

I'd add Reddit as an option if you are active there as well.

If you have a local coin shop, you might get a decent price there as well. Many coin shops will pay close to spot as it's an easy flip for them to resell.

I'd consider it in the lower AU range, likely details as it looks like it was wiped in the past and has retoned a bit to me. $46 is not a bad price regardless.
