Alfred Maletsky was born in 1943 in Easton, Pennsylvania, United States. He is an American sculptor and has been working on the United States Mint in Philadelphia since 1993. In 2001 he won the Coin of the Year Award for his design of the New Jersey State Quarter.
Alfred worked in the advertising art department Philadelphia Evening Bulletin from 1969 - 1975. He was a Sculptor at The Franklin Mint from 1976 - 1992. Now is a sculptor and engraver at The United States Mint in Philadelphia since 1993.
