Eric David Custer became a medallic artist for the U.S. Mint in September 2021. He joined the Mint in 2008 as a product clothier on the design and Engraving group.

As a product designer, Eric prepared, restored, and is restoring masses of sculptures for production. He additionally tailored and developed virtual sculpture equipment to improve the manufacturing of cash and medals at the Mint.

Before becoming a member of the Mint, Eric advanced production R&D and virtual sculpture for numerous agencies. He additionally painted automotive works of art as a hobby. He studied artwork at Edinboro University of PA. In 2006, he received a Bachelor of technological know-how in business layout from the artwork Institute of Pittsburgh.
