Who all is buying one? I'm doing the pre-sale thing from the US Mint via mail, it's like 4 bucks cheaper for the proof, then ordering on the website on Jan 10th. Collecting ASE, AGE, Morgan Silver dollars and copper pennies.

I will be purchasing all four. I am fascinated about the history of the Jamestown settlement. I am happy to know that proceeds will go toward the restoration of Jamestown.

I filled out the order form for a Silver Proof, 4 bucks saves is 4 bucks saved. The gold ones are like 20 dollars cheaper through the pre-sale.

I received the mail from the mint but I didn't know they are cheaper than ordering through the site. I'm only planning on buying the silver UNC.

The order form has the pre-sale price, and as long as the envelope is received or post marked by Feb 15th they will honor the discounted price. For the Proof Silver dollar. it's 4 bucks cheaper I think, and that's what I ordered. I cannot afford the Gold ones, but they are discounted like 20 or 25 bucks.

easiest ordering ever on the first day ...either the mint fixed their site or there is low interest in this coin which I find hard to believe.

I don't think anyone is in a hurry to order these. Seems there will be plenty to go around. There just hasn't been much hype or collector interest shown yet compared to previous years. I ordered one unc today but only because I order the Commemoratives every year even if I don't like the design. IMHO, the unc version is going to be the better looking of the two. From the looks of the proof there is going to be way too much frost hiding the design details and not enough mirror to balance.
