How to find P coins on the west coast?

When I was growing up in MN I started collecting with those whitman coin folders. D was more common but there were still plenty of P coins to fill them up until around 2000 when I lost interest.

I pulled them out now and got a bunch of coins from the bank to see what I could fill up since then. Getting D coins was a breeze but I'm stuck with hardly any P slots filled. Is there an easy to to get some mixed rolls that would contain more P coins on the west coast?

Not to my knowledge. I just buy a box and hope for the best.

yeah, good luck. P's are pretty scarce. when I search cent boxes, it's quick checking for WAM's since I only get about 4-5 WAM candidates.

Thanks for the offer slash, but I'm just talking about normal in circulation coins. My folders were full up until 2000 when I stopped so I only need 2001+. for penny/nickel/dime I only need a couple, but need about 30 P state quarters.

These responses are what I was expecting. I'll probably just wait for a friend or relative to visit the east coast and have them bring me back some rolls.

I might even just get them in change if I wait long enough. For years I used plastic to buy virtually everything (for the cash back on every purchase), but now for small stuff I use cash again so I can get coins to look through.

You can always trade rolls with someone on the forum. You can fit 30 rolls inside of a small flat rate priority box, and it will only cost $5 to ship.

yeah a trading partner is the way to go. I have my brother on the other coast keeping an eye out for stuff for me, but he's pretty inconsistent.

I need to find a trading partner for the America The Beautiful Quarters series. (I love typing that because I'm sure someone at the mint is trying to figure out how to collect the copyright fine I should owe for putting that in print).

splain this Lucy, we are about 700 miles from Denver so you'd think Ds would be in every pocket. Not so! Hard to find a D!
Apparently in the spirit of spending as much money on freight as possible the Fed sends us coins all the way from the Philly mint. Nearly 3000mi! No idea who gets the Denver or San Francisco coins, certainly not the neighboring states.
