I took slightly over a month off from roll hunting...2 weeks on vacation and another few weeks just getting bak into the swing of work, etc.
I decided yesterday to try my luck again. Picked up a box of dimes, and a box of nickels.
Dimes were a complete skunk, I think SD has 'em all.
Nickels weren't much better. No wars, only 22 pre 59, and 1 1971 proof. Lame.

I am sorry Jedi, but I could not help but to chuckle a little. Sounds like you are having the same luck roll hunting that I have had so far this year.

Last year was pretty good, but since 2010 started, it's been pretty dismal. I did have some good luck with some cwr halves a while back, but it was just the one time

Well ...... I've passed beyond 97 boxes searched ..... and have found exactly 3 proof nickels .... soooo ... Quote:

I have yet to find a proof nickle........so yeah, those are tough. I am 3 weeks into an off period of roll searching, but pick up boxes Monday.

Went through 12 this week, have another 8 to pick up tomorrow. 20 ordered for next week. Found 2x everything but that wascally '50d & '79s! Nearly 2 war rolls.

Just use your mind tricks on them next time and I'm sure you'll come out with multiple rolls of 1916-D dimes!

I've tried that...i think I need more practice. I've also tried swearing at them, that doesn't really work either. |
