American Old Coin, I Cant See The Year

amida17 Pillar of the Community United States 4897 Posts	Posted 05/25/2013 09:14 am 1925-1930 have a recessed date. Since your date is gone and it is a type 2 coin, I would think it was minted between 1917 and 1924. Report this Post to the Staff

The three stars were added to the reverse when the Type II obverse quarters struck in 1917 and remained there for the duration of the series. This coin was struck from 1917 to 1924. The Type III obverse was struck from 1925 to 1930 and had a recessed date which kept it from wearing off so fast. Ed ANA LM-3175 Report this Post to the Staff
