Or are they just going to leave them in circulation?

the magnetic one cents would have less melt value, it's just a cheap steel core.
older 98% copper cents have much more melt value

Way down here, I've come across 7 steel and 12 zinc 2011 cents....but only one type for each of the 2008-2010 varieties ('08 & '09 steels; '10 zinc).

This is an interesting thread... I am always trying to determine what the most accurate information is regarding the 1 cents from 2006 onwards. From my readings and what is written here:

2012 RCM Non-Mag
2012 RCM Mag
2011 RCM Non-Mag
2011 RCM Mag
2010 RCM Non-Mag
2010 RCM Mag (NCLT)
2009 RCM Non-Mag (Rare)
2009 RCM Mag
2008 RCM Non-Mag
2008 RCM Mag (NCLT)
2007 RCM Non-Mag
2007 RCM Mag
2006 RCM Non-Mag
2006 RCM Mag
2006 P
2006 No P Mag
2006 No P Non-Mag

Feel free to update / change as required. I omitted but assumed that for each of these years, there is an associated Specimen, Proof and Proof-Like cent as well...... Was there also a commemorative 1 cent in 2010? I thought I had read this however have been unsuccessful in location it.

Cheers,

2012 RCM Non-Mag seems scace around. 2012 magnetic ones are also scarce but are seen twice around.

Right. I've actually found a 2006P non-mag once, but I released it back into circulation.
(due to the fact that I wasn't collecting at that time.

This is my first and longest thread on Coin Community. Very intersting. This thread has almost reached up to 100 posts. I'm astonished.
2011 Magnetic Cents, Somewhat Rare? A yes or no question has brought 100 posts. I'm surprised.
Thanks to everyone who posted.

Darn.. I guess one does not get notifications automatically when there's a response to a thread :)

Thanks for the welcome. I am an ex-patriate of the seemingly now defunct CCRS :)
