Thought I'd Post A Contest.

Sorry if I ruined anyones afternoon or especially anyone's contest I just was trying to hop into the fun of the whole thing didnt mean to break anyones rules written, implied, or anything else.

I guess Buddy ...was the next person who got the number correct. if AKColdCache...is going to decline then Buddy can select the coin of his choise.

I really don't think that AKColdCache should decline. It's up to the host of the contest whether or not a newbie can play along and he most certainly didn't ruin my fun.

I think I will PM him and tell him that.

As much as I would love either of those coins, the fact is I live 3 blocks from a really big coin shop and I could buy either one tomorrow. AKColdCache lives in Alaska and for all I know he's a YN...

I had no idea. I see that you are a 'pillar of the community' and for some reason I assumed you were ...well, older.

I'm a 56 year-old woman. And that is sort of the problem...we just don't know to whom were writing. But then maybe YN's have their opinions dismissed simply because of their age -- and that would be wrong. I am fairly certain that the YNs on this site know a lot more about coins than I do.

Oh, I wish AKColdCache would come back.

Its all good guys I'm still here I haven't ran off in dismay yet! I simply am at my usual receive setting rather than transmit. I am an YN in experience only so no young feelings were hurt by anyone. (Im 35 if you must know) I learn much and enjoy browsing the forums...Ill be here for sometime to come I'm sure.
As for the coin I would be thrilled if Buddy would take it. When I read "I'm going to have to think up a fun one like this myself." right after the auction closed I thought it would be a great home for the loot...My message to dbrablec was actually saying the same before I realized I couldn't even send it. Really, folks like Buddy are what make forums like these work and in turn allow people like me learn from them. And people like dbrablec come up with ways to get people, even readers like me, to get involved. These forums are lucky to have you both and hundreds of others that were well struck in the same manner. It also has some "strike errors" that appeal to certain groups and are worthy of note for their "uniqueness" as well. And lastly even the battered well worn folks can be treasured for their content as it is often much richer than those from more recent years. I'm loving it, thanks for making these forums fun and informative guys/gals!
