@neil get a grip you rip Canada post and you have no idea what you are talking about. As far as me being biased..I have sold more coins than you have ever seen over the last 40 years ( owned a coin shop for 13 plus). I am proud to work for Canada Post and no you are dead wrong this stuff hardly ever happens at Canada Post. BTW quit putting coins in cheap envelopes that end up going through first USPS sorting machines and then Canada Post machines at the other end. Use a bubble pack!

@54dollarcoin Want to deliver my packages then ? In the last 6 months I have been left 7 notices to pick up at the local outlet, so far I have received 3 pieces of mail. I still have 4 notices for packages they cant find dating back to june ....

They dont knock on the door or ring the bell if there is a package they leave a notice and take your package home. Dont tell me it doesn't happen because no one believes that for a minute. After 6 months of calling and complaining they still have no idea where my missing deliveries are. And after 6 months I find it unlikely I wiull ever see them.

So someone got some nice birthday/anniversary/christmas gifts.

I have sent and received hundreds of coins through Canada Post and never had problems with any of them at any time.

Believe what you like it doesn't change facts. I have so many complaints lodged with CP I am on a first name basis with several of them. Once it allegedly goes to the postal outlet it is gone forever apparently.

And so you know the LC who works my neighborhood is under investigation for it. One parcel sent to me was marked return to sender does not fit in box - there was no attempt to deliver it nor was it sent to an outlet, it was simply returned. And so there is no pointless denial, the package has been photographed and the image sent to CP - apparently its illegal to do so it is considered to be tampering with the mail.

Regardless of what you may think I have a stack of notices to pick up packages at the local outlet, none of which CP is able to locate. That is a simple statement of fact.Additionally I am not the only person in my neighborhood to have lodged complaints about our delivery person.

If you would like to propose that NO illegal activity EVER occurs in the entire organization - feel free. But lets see if everyone agrees with such an asinine statement.

Start a new poll. Does everyone here believe that EVERY one of the thousands of CP employees are totally law abiding citizens or do you suspect there may be a few unethical persons employed there ?

As proud as yo may be regarding your employer the fact remains there are issues and denying that they exist is tantamount to saying no piece of mail has ever been lost. Pointless, untrue and downright ludicrous.

I guess that some CP workers don't know how the system works and just do random stuff, according to what some people said.

DYNT you are way off side here way way off side! As I said ,I for one do NOT believe any of your obvious diatribe against Canada Post! Also the way CP security works I am sure you would be told too, too laughable............. bash something else at one in fantasy land!

Your insults simply prove the lack of any proof to your argument of perfection. I on the other hand do have proof. Delivery notices and the call number of the woman searching for my missing parcels.

Are you honestly saying Canada Post does not lose mail ever ? Is that honestly your position in this matter ? That no piece of mail has ever been lost in the history of the postal service ?

If thats the case then the words for you are not even printable. You cant honestly expect anyone here to believe that nothing ever gets lost, misplaced or damaged. Perhaps, if youve been around as long as you claim its a case of senility and you deserve pity rather than scorn.

Nonetheless, you are quite within your rights to believe and pontificate that the almighty Canada Post has never in its history lost anyones mail .....

doesn't everyone believe that ? After all 54dollarcoin has said its true, therefore it must be. So mail with certainty everyone, we have his word that nothing will ever be lost or damaged or even just temporarily misplaced - and that should make everyone feel so relieved.

And just to clarify, my "diatribe" as you intimate was not personal until you made it so and rather than sling insults why dont you provide me with something to substantiate the perfection you allege ?

People all over the country have complaints about the aforementioned organization, are they all lying just to make you look bad ? You must be a very important person if millions of Canaians are going to take the time to make up lies about you.

Perhaps then, 54dollarcoin, you can provide an alternative explanation why I occasionally receive mail, that is not addressed to me or anyone in my household, in my mailbox? I routinely receive other persons mail, even bank statements and stuff from the Canada Revenue Agency. I am also grateful that my neighbours are honest, because they often deliver my mail, which they received. I have even had postal outlets deliver Xpresspost packages to me quite red-faced, because they delivered the wrong package to the wrong person, only to have that honest person return said package to Canada Post. It happens.

No system is perfect. I am willing to accept that. After all, to err is human. What I don't accept is the blatant dismissal of facts that DvntMstr has tried to present in a logical manner. Keep hiding behind that shroud of perfection you claim that Canada Post has, you are fooling no one...

No system is perfect. I do sometimes get other people's mail in my box. I always return it to the local postmaster. And I think I must be in the running for the longest delivery of an ebay coin ever. Almost two years ago I received a coin I'd forgotten about and already been reimbursed for some time before. The envelope had a number of postmarks on it, even one from South America. It had been sent to me from the Mid-West US and took 16 months to get to me. But I was glad to get it. I emailed the seller and he was just as amazed as I was.

@ Tamarin.............. had the same sort of thing happen to me after I received my money back for a "lost " package of a USA so called dollar that was sent to the midwest US in 2004 on an ebay sale. I had it returned to me in March of 2005 via the South AFrican postal service to Canada. The biggest trouble I had was returning the already paid money to Canada Post I was told case closed.

@SPP you answered your own question. I always did understand why pencils had erasers...................everyone makes mistakes............including the Good Lord . I witness some of his mistakes walking the streets daily! Canada POST is by no means perfect and I never stated that anywhere. BTW are you, Roger, and Dynto tag team partners? !!

You know, we get more complaints about the level of discourse in the Canadian forums than all the rest put together. I, for one, am tired of reading them. Either conduct yourselves in civil fashion - what I've read here does not meet that standard, just as one example - or you will be conducted to the door. Enough.
