If I can get the job done in a timely manner and get another job. Some holes in the 7070 will definitely get filled.

Great to hear the good news. A person should be able to buy a few coins, I mean we need the necessities of life, like food, coins and coins.

"I do construction work and things have gotten slow around here."

Well, this can be both good and bad, depending on which side your on. What I mean by that is, it's not good for david who is out of work and needing to find a job. But, look at it from the point of the person who needs some work done. Ther must be plenty of people who would be able to do the job "NOW" if given the chance.
Out here in Wyoming, they are not able to take jobs in construction, either light or indstrial because they can't find the hands to hold the hammers. The state is running shuttles back and forth from here to Michigan etc in order to fill the requirements of the oil patch. Again, no one to do the work. And that is at any price. Yes, it does take some skill and the willingness to go out and work long hours, but boy can they ever make good money. Up into the four figures per week, and that is just to start and show up regularly. Ahhh! to be young again.

Hope other workers scan or used metal detector on site before they construct.

Not a routine of developer, if I'm in one before the company flattened the site I will scan it.

Good luck to you newdavid, glad to see you got some work. Hey Dan, they are my thoughts exactly, The mind is willing but the body's weak. Why could'nt I have had all this hindsight when I was 25. In Queensland they are flying miners in to mines 200-300 miles every week, just to do their shifts and fly them back out again. All on 4 figure wages too.
Hey, what the last thing that goes thru' a bugs mind when he hits a windshield? His backside.

(small omission)

The same thing here in Western Australia too. The guys and girls working in our mines, work for 2 weeks straight, 12 hour shift. Then have 1 week off. They get flown into work from Perth, about a 800 - 1500 km, depending on the minesite. Probably earning $2000 - $2500 per week.
Many people are choosing to work in the mines and this is putting a strain on Businesses in Perth, because we can't get people to fill jobs. We are now paying young people to relocate to Perth from the East and increasing immigration to 20,000 a year, just to help fill jobs.

If your type of work is so sporatic you should try searching around other parts of the country for jobs. I know moving is sometimes really tuff, but could be really profitable as many here have already noted. My son is into contruction and while here in Illinois jobs were just scarce. Everything here is well rapped up in that field politically. He and his wife and her family all moved to Tennessee. He ended up with his own construction buisness and now is hiring people to work for him. He said he has so much work he has no time of his own anymore. To bad there are so few coin shows around there or I'd go visit him all the time.

Don't know how to edit but I wanted to add to my last post that I sent my son all the way through college and now has a degree in computer sciences. Now he is in construction.

Not sure just what information you are looking for, but if it can be found and you tell me what you want, Ill sure send all I can find. Out here there sure isn't any secret that they are short handed on all the rigs doing their drilling for natural gas. They are working 12 on and 12 off for 6 days at a time with the 7th day optional. They need to use the armored car service just to take these guys their pay for the week.

Just a thought. Here's a real money maker.

Our youngest son is now a high school Biology teacher. He also teaches night classes at college.

However, before that he worked for an oil company out in the Gulf of Mexico. Sixty days on the barge, and then they fly the employees home for 30 days. Then back for sixty more. The pay is fantastic, however, obviously, you have to be willing to be away from family for a good length of time.
