Disappointed in a grab bag is one thing...misleading buyers with a fake grading company fo Lord knows how much money is another level of deciet in my opinion. Personally I sell unsearched lots of world coins on ebay. I buy poundage from dealers who have lots and dont want to search it, pounds from individuals on craigslist, and lots from garage sales. I *NEVER* search the lots. They are truly unsearched and I am sure people have scored some great coins from my lots (people have thanked me and listed their finds). The point is, I have advertised exactly what the lot is, and I deliver. I pass on the same joy to buyers that I get when I buy something and search and score. Thats the majesty of the hobby, but the same lure that the sharks use to rip people off. It sickens me that people are so crooked now-a-days. But I WILL continue to provide my customers with awesome lots nomatter!

It's like buying "Unsearched Wheat Cents" Not really unsearched to them but to you, it is.

Yeah, those garb big things are always a scam. Anything unsearched is also a scam. Somebody somewhere along the way searched it. I am amazed when I see people on ebay still pay premiums for unsearched rolls or bags of whatever. The other day I saw a lot of SEVEN coins with "unsearched" in the listing. Really? You are a seasoned coin dealer based off looking at your other listings and you didn't take 2 seconds to look at those seven coins? Every buyer has to learn at some point.

See, this is all your fault, jeremy. If you weren't an experienced and honest seller yourself, this ripoff wouldn't have bothered you.

I got scammed on ioffer.com as well. I don't want to talk about it because it still makes me hot.

I suggest that no one use it. Ever.

I used to buy my daughter a few "lots" of coins when she was around 3-5 years old and knew there was no way to get anything of any value but she loved just seeing the coins and looking through them so for me the 10 bucks I was spending was worth it to me e3ven though I probably only got about 5-7 bucks worth of coins. Of course now all the pre-64 dimes and quarters that was sent to her 6-8 years ago is worth allot more than I paid at that time and her collection probably has allot more coins in it than mine does, but of course mine is allot more focused and worth quite a bit more

Sorry this happened to you, especially around the holidays.
If you stick around here, you'll meet a lot of good people to trade or buy from.

Go tell your "buddy". That's the source. If he doesn't have a story similar to yours then he might be in on the whole thing.
Also lol @ $1,000,000 - people will believe anything with a big clean number like that.

I'm a bit curious what you thought you'd get from a mysterious "$40 grab bag"? ... I don't think that I'd fall for that ol' trick ...

Although, thinking-back to my youth, I was very disappointed when my "Sea Monkeys" finally arrived in the mail!

"hey, wait a minute? => these aren't even monkeys!?"

Very funy...my buddy bought EIGHT of this guy's other lots that guaranteed PCGS & NGC graded coins and he was very happy . He received several NGC and PCGS modern proofs etc. It seems that the guy rewards the big spenders with good lots and mixes the coins with self-slabbed coins in to keep his operation going, So instead of railing on me, maybe consider that I had reason to belive I would receive a fair lot...
It didnt happen...

Definately the pricey learning curve. I am not upset over $40 but rather upset that I convinced my dad to follow suit before I received my coins. He will receive his in a day or two...I dread the convo. I think I am just gonna give him a GEM BU Morgan or his $50 if he fairs like I did...
