Oh, fer crap's sake. When you compare notes of different series, there may be differences.

Lol, this thread seems to be getting a little tense 😝.

Being such a substantial error, you really should get this one graded.

There's no tension. I just gave my opinion and my opinion only on what I observed. This is what I thought a forum was for. You will get different opinion, different views on things that not everyone will agree with. Apparently there are some who do not understand that concept. Trust me I will no longer offer any opinions lesson learned.
Will still read the forum as there is a lot of useful information on these type of forums.

Thanks for the advice Bluntedbobylon, I've had it in a box for years. I wanted an idea of it's value. My Dad gave it to me, and I will probably give it to my son. The highest offer I've had is $1,000. A nice sum (a 1000% profit) but, I'm just not sure I really want to sell it.

Spring423: as one of those, who apparently does not "understand" your lofty opinions, I would offer one piece of advice. It's an excellent practice to understand a subject prior to making serious accusations.

Happy New Year

12345-

That's a 99,900% profit. $11 is a 1000% profit.

You were the one who posted about asking for information about the note. Then when somebody gave their opinion and you didn't like it you insult them. If you know everything about this topic why post?

I stand by my opinion that something doesn't seem right with the note. You asked for opinions I gave one sorry you don't agree with it. You say you have no intent of selling yet make it clear in your post that you have already been offered 1000.00 for it. Then low and behold you also had it listed on ebay for sale. Sounds like you were advertising the note trying to get people interested. My opinion only

That is one really interesting note and those types of errors do appear from time to time.

But like one person said three times, what is stamped or printed on the left side of GW's head?

It looks like some one took some type of stamp and stamped it? It doesn't look like anything the BEP would do. Or maybe a bank stamped it for some reason?

Can you please post those characters that are stamped on it?

I'm curious to see what it is. I would think it would reduce the value some, since it happened outside of the BEP.

Thanks,
Wes

This error looks perfectly genuine to me. The numbers on the back are plate numbers, they are normally cut off when the sheets are cut apart. The fact that its included its still attached to the note indicates that this note was from the top of the sheet. They generally are only seen on major cutting errors, fold overs, and faulty alignments. The example shown in the Standard Catalog of United States Guide to Paper Money shows a similar example with plate numbers. The same guide lists it at $2500 in CU condition.

I believe they are plate numbers. The numbers are clearly printed perfectly parallel to the top of the bill's back. The actual numbers are 13588-101. Also the bill is in pristine condition. It has never been folded and I have never even unfolded the crease.

Well it had to have been folded before it was printed in order for the error to occur lol. But regardless I agree that it should be certified just for protection value alone. Thanks for posting this note! Its been wonderful to look at, as I said before they're not very common with the plate numbers showing (hence the abundance of confused posters before).
