MS-65, probably FH even though it doesn't look that strong in the photos. Maybe 66

Ok, here is the PCGS grade:

1917-Type-1-SLQ,-You-Vs.-PCGS

I think it may be a bit conservative, but I am happy with the PCGS grade. The price would have doubled at MS65FH and it would have been out of my price range.

The lower the TPG grade, the better the deal for the buyer. You won!

PCGS had the coin in hand, we didn't!

I suspect that, because of their 'adavntage', they could see tiny things that we could not see, and as they have a reputation to protect, so they have to grade as accurately as they see fit.

That is why I was looking for a pictorial 'advantage', (with a larger picture), to have a level playing field, so to speak.

Still a harsh grade IMO, should have been a 65 minimum.
