Hawk,
A few years ago, I actually had a MM card for a year but it didn't do any better for me than the regular prescriptions I'm taking now for nerve damage so I dumped it when it came up for renewal. I believe the issue with that is the competition with the pharmaceutical companies. They would likely lose billions if marijuana were ever legalized. I believe polls are showing a majority of US citizens actually support legalization, just to take the power away from drug dealers and cut down on the prison population and the war on drugs budget, and perhaps for the tax money it would garner. But people who build and run prisons or work in corrections don't want to lose revenue and jobs. And certain law enforcement would lose a ton of funding and jobs if weed were legalized and they'll fight it tooth and nail. So many competing interests with the tax payer caught right in the middle. The law never made sense to me. If marijuana is illegal than alcohol must be illegal, right? Total hypocrisy.

Angel... I think that we can all forget about consistency in government policies. They're more mixed up than we are because every thing they do is by committee! As to the Dem vs. Rep thing, I agree. It IS a distraction and one that is promulgated on purpose to keep the sheeple asleep and not stampeding. But the fact is when ANY politician steps out of line and starts assuming powers and authority not granted to them by the US Constitution, it is time for all Americans to dig in our heels and call them out on it, regardless of party. My greatest fear is that they will or already have rigged the elections such that an honest vote is or soon will be impossible. If / when that happens, the time for polite political discourse will be over.

T great points an hate that did not help you, as I recall you mentioning you are a disabled vet if memory serves me correctly, so indeed thank you for the service an personal sacrifice.....
I truly hate for anyone to be unhealthy in any way in this world, and can honestly say that is one of the things that troubles me most about life....
One of my best friends who was just in the hospital fighting for his life in essence as he has been battling crohn's disease for many years now, and he knows as well as I that it will be in all likelihood what kills him in the end way to soon....
He calls us all "skaters of life", remember that as I always have. Us the healthy as we skate through life without a care, never really knowing the suffering that others deal with daily. I have bad acid reflux disease, an that is my worst health problem to date, and is easily fixed by simply taking a Nexium or any 24 hour heartburn meds each an every morning....
I never take my health for granite an most grateful to still be healthy an alive after 38 years on this most UN-forgiving world, lol....

Quote: Yes actually a LOT of wasted law enforcement time!, murders by drug dealers to name a few things. If legal all that would be eliminated About 20 years ago, a druggist was complaining that his cost of pure cocaine went from $6 to $9 a gram. Once cut (pure cocaine would kill you), it would make five grams of street grade, $500 worth. Put on your thinking cap. Where does the $491 go? The "bad guys", however you choose to describe them. Where does the $500 come from? Someone causing $1000 worth of damage to steal $5000 of your coins to spend or dump at the first offer. So society pays $6000 plus police and court costs for a problem that could cost $25, including a hefty tax, income tax, sales tax, etc, on legal sales. And that $25 could be earned at a job, not requiring theft and other illegal activities.

Fredd buddy with your combined wisdom an experience as well as business an math skills, NO DOUBT I could put you in control of the entire quagmire mess of the US economy if I had that power, lol. You an some other CCF members here with similar qualities, and in a a couple of years we would be back to a solid economy, no doubt in my mind....

TPTB don't want rationality in the war on drugs. Wars are fought for money. I didn't hate anyone in Viet Nam.
How much of that $491 do you think goes to bribing law enforcement at all levels?

Well Fredd from what I can tell about the happenings in our neighbor to the south, A VERY LARGE chunk of that is going to their powers that be via 50/50 one 50 being the cops, the other 50 being the drug lords. I don't even wanna name the country, may wake up in the next life minus a head, but you know what I am sayin....
Cross that border, you better have A LARGE CHUNK to donate and pray you don't get shot, and that is not likely....

They are the ones watching each others' backs. Quote: Wars are fought for money. DING! And we have a winner! Yes, wars are fought for money, as well as other goodies, such as land, resources, treasure, and in ancient times, all the women you could carry off!

Earlier in this thread, I said $35.
Perhaps I should record my predictions over a period of time, and plot them on a chart against the current spot price over the same period.
