I'm sorry, I forgot to include my cost. I paid $79.50 plus tax so it was $85 even.

Oh, so I guess I overpaid. Oh well, it was a Christmas gift to my Dad & he liked it so it was worth it. Thanks.

I was going to buy my Dad the same coin, but I just could not find one for a price I was willing to pay! Maybe next year!

It was an impulse buy. & it was a gift so I don't feel too bad about what I paid. Thank you all for your input.

What a nice gift for your father. I'm pretty much a newbie and had not seen this coin before. My father in law was a vietnam veteran. I may have to check around for one. Thank you for sharing the pricing too. That helps a lot.

$75 to $85 seems to be the current retail price on these sets with dealers offering about $55 when they are buying.

There are some great "Deals" with an "St" out there now if you have the time to look. I'm concentrating on the UNC versions of these types of commemoratives and I recently bought the three coin set - Vietnam Vet, POW/MIA, and Women in the Military in Original packaging for $110. It's kinda being in the right place at the right time. That's a wonderful and thoughtful gift you got for your Dad though. Those of us who were in the military at that time in history are used to a lack of recognition and I'm sure he loves the coin.

Paleoguy, I just bought that same set for $115.00. LTMets, as Amida said you didn't overpay. If you liked it and your Dad likes his gift then all's well that ends well.
Personally I'd rather overpay for a coin I really want than underpay for one I don't much care for, although I will do that too.
