I saw that Superdave and I figured that was just him covering his butt. By the way I can't say Superdave wthout a superman inflection in my voice.

I think that is a general warning he is posting for some reason on his auctions and is really true for most coins of that age and older. My point being, is even if an auction doesn't say it was cleaned, doesn't mean it was never cleaned.

And that Liberty nickel isn't a copper or silver coin either. It is in great condition.

There were 8 bids, so did you bid/win it?

yeah I won it. It makes me a bit nervous that the seller covers all his bases incase something goes wrong. but for 8.50 its worth the risk.

Heh. I've always considered my nick to have more of an "Osborne" flavor than a "Kent" one.

Congratulations on your purchase! Yes, please let us know if you are satisfied.

I've bought several Liberty Head nickels from an ebay seller in Portugal. At first I was a bit anxious but IMO he is highly reputable.

I don't know if CCF has rules about us recommending sellers in a thread so perhaps a moderator can let me know.

If that's truly the coin depicted, not bad.
Like Super, I was cautious of his description.

I'll have the coin under the microscope the day I get it, probably around the 19th. I posted the auction because I too had doubts. The description scared me a ton especially when he said it would be covered under buyer protection. Thanks for the help guys.

Yeah there are but I wanted others input on the auction itself. Seeing all the sellers protection that he stated for himself I was nervous about it that's all.

Good buy. Given the seller's purchases, it looks to me as if the seller is a collector, himself.
