It would have been nice to see the coin.
The $20 for $20 series seems like a strong series if the RCM has maintained the quality of artwork.
I wonder if there will be two coins again this year?

You had my hopes up that there was an actual image to be seen.

I didn't get to see the image, but being a fan of polar bears and from what others have said the coin who were able to see it, I will try and pick up at least one and maybe more if I really like it. The more I hear about it the more I want to see it! Ha!

I live in the US, new York to be exact. And I was wondering,

If I was to send one of you $20 for one of these, would one of you be up for the job?

@yankee1227: I think you will be able to order them yourself based on the last coin issued.

^No, there have been two per year based on the first two. This one should be available to order anytime between now and the end of January, but it probably wont ship till about March. My order date was January 31(first one in the series) last year, and it was shipped on March 14th.

@mcshilling: Last year there was two $20 for $20 coins.
The first coin was released sometime at the end of January 2011.
If there is an image of the coin on the RCM's website then I'm going to guess a release will happen soon (at the end of the month). I wonder if there will be two coins released again this year? So far the artwork is good and if it continues that way two a year would be fine by me.

One more Polar Bear to add to the collection!

Whoever saw the coin on the RCM web site should look inside their Internet Temporary cache. It's there somewhere...

I do hope they don't oversaturate the market with these and come out with 4 or more a year. So far, I am okay with two, but anymore might make me lose interest. Right now, my interest level is high since there is something to look forward to every six months, and the artwork is impressive. I wonder what the mintage will be on this one. I have to imagine it will exceed the mintage of the canoe, being a polar bear and all. I imagine the demand for this coin is going to be high. I also hope they keep the $20 for $20 routine going and not the $25 for $20 stunt the Post is pulling.

I saw the $20 for $20 swimming polar bear too, but unfortunately I did not save the image in time. Of course I will buy at least 3.
