Proof coins are nice though. I am trying to get the 5c and 10c just now. Should be easier to sell if the time comes rather than unc.
I use 2x2 also, don't own any albums. Don't want to have to be restricted to having to fill the holes that they are telling me to. At least in plastic sheets a full page can have gaps in the years and then when you get that year you can just move them along :-)

I use the Dansco Supreme albums for my proof sets dibby; that way you can see both sides of the coin, and they are stored nicely too!

trout1105: I see the date most often represented in your want list is 1986.
For your collection, the 1986 mint set has to be the one to buy!

Sel and that was the first one I bought. I have only 4 more to go and I have covered every decimal coin set. I was going to ignore the "only in mint sets" coins but once you start walking down a track you just have to get to the end of it Damned expensive way of getting a few dollars in face value coins

I have a near complete collection of mint and proof and silver sets. In fact I have two of each. My intention is to break open one and put them into Dansco Supreme albums. My albums will include the silver coins e.g., the Smithy $1 from the combine NPA & RAM issue, the reeded, broken-reeded $1 Matilda, counterstamped, Fine Silver and MIS coins. No, no gold ones. LOL
P.S. Mint sets don't always have great coins in them. I have had to buy GEM coins from a number of dealers (and returned them occassionaly). The coins I place in my Danscos will be minimum CHU.
For really really nice coins, buy the underpriced Wedding sets. They were all specimen, until the morons at the RAM changed them to Proof last year.

Those 83 and 84 look like proof coins. I purchased a proof 88 20c from that same seller and it arrived on Friday. Beautiful coin from a very good seller.

I have a decimal coin album ( A PVC cheapie which I know is frowned upon ) but what really drives me wild is that they have pockets for NCLT . As a result I have huge gaps in my album (2006 Commonwealth Games 50c for instance) and there is no way I'm going to buy all this NCLT and cut them out of their packaging just to put them in my PVC album. Do the Dansco albums also have gaps for NCLT?

Yes But it is nice to finally get the holes filled and I just love cutting them free from that nasty plastic

That is how I display all my better coins. They look neat in 2x2s and lots of room to put information on. I just have a two ring binder, not a proper album though.
