This coin is obviously worn. To have a rainbow toning like that

I don't think toning like this is possible, no matter the circumstances.

Amazing what can be done to ruin a good coin by heating it on a stove. No chemicals needed. Check out his other items.

If nobody is bidding on them you would think he would get the message.

The worst part is that this idiot is a 'top rated seller', its an insult to the whole rating system.

You would think. He will probably just re-list them.

"great as always - you have the rainbow coins on lockdown - nice eye - thank you!"

He does have the market locked down. I'm not sure anyone could compete.

All jokes aside I see him as another guy who has found a niche and filled it while also increasing the value of coins similar to what he's defacing. Maybe he's a big collector in the types of coins he defaces, so he buys up anything he can deface and flip for profit while holding onto the best pieces. Or maybe my imagination is on overdrive. It'd be hard to corner a market when there are millions of pieces and you're touching hundreds. xD

I think there is another term for artificial toning - it's called "frying"!

Anyone buying these doesn't know any better so when they receive them, they are exactly what they expected to get. I see the same thing all the time with sellers selling a 1976 Ike "silver dollar" for $10. If someone is ignorant enough to buy it then they are ignorant enough to leave good feedback because they have no idea.
