Any 1942 threepence is very hard to get!

How do people make the stapled 2x2s staples flat?
I don't really want to plier them as I will probably do more damage than good.
You could always get a 'Flat Clinch Stapler'.

Ah, sorry! I did have 2 x 1920, but I traded them to a friend here in Aust a couple months ago, as in my opinion, they were only worth melt due to them being in a baaaad way.

I think it's a 1942 "S"

It could be a just a dirty patch, really hard to tell with the pic you can't zoom in that great.

The 1927 has some good detail.

I'm hoping that it is just a bit of toning.
I'll find out when it arrives.
I only paid $2 over melt so It's worth a bit of a gamble to get a 42m.
