For decades, the best monthly coin show was the gun show and flea market at Washington CH, Ahia. There was a three-year waiting list for an indoor table, and it wasn't unusual to have 50-100 people set up outside when it was 20° out. When it was cold enough to keep the doors shut, you couldn't see the other end of the room for the smoke.
One month Leon (Silvertowne) was relaxing on a couch they made from 100-count boxes of proof sets behind their table.
Summer shows were incredible, with at least 1000 dealers, sometimes pushing 2000. You could make money just vest pocketing, like the time I bought ten tolls of silver quarters for $25 per, and sold them inside for $29.

Far from unusual. At almost all coin shows I go to there are people selling jewlery, knives and at one, old Indian Artifacts. At one of our gun shows too there are people selling jewlery, coins, stamps, knives, swords and blow guns. One of our constant coins shows is advertised as a Card and Coin show. I've never seen one person selling any Cards of any kind though. By me we have knife shows, dog and cat shows, electronic shows, camera shows and on and on and at all of them I find other stuff for sale. Why not?

That was a fun story, you got a knack for storytelling.
There's no guns I want right now, but I guess I'm going to the next gun show anyways!

I already put the Lincoln Wheats in 2x2's, so no pics. Purchased a 1909 VDB - brown, unc, luster, 63/64, 1911 D - brown, AU/62, 1912 D - brown, AU55, 1913 - brown, MS62/63, 1919 D - brown, AU+, luster, 1919 S - brown, MS63, luster, 1926 - brown, superb strike Obv/Rev, AU58, luster, 1930 D - brown, filled 0 in date, MS62/63. Will review the grades at a later date. Three 1970 S unc rolls. Opened one of the plastic tubes. 47 of these are very nice. Might be 2 or 3 in the 66+ grade. Reverses on all are superb. Some obverse have light bag marks. $43 face value in 90% silver quarters. $12.75 of which are Standing Liberty. ONE of these is a type 1 - picture attached. About half are dateless. Dateless, type 1 Standing Liberty...bummer.

Acloco, nice story. I guess it's good to have the guns around to protect the coins.

Very nice! Thank you for sharing. I have not been to a gun show is a while, but this does offer some incentive for attending the next one.
