Yep, I did notice the 15% buyers fee with a minimum $8.

One thing I liked about the Teletrade site is the nice large pictures they give you to view the coins. Gives you an excellent view of what you're buying.

Teletrade is first class. You do have to take into account that you may not always be getting top notch coins for the grade- but they do not misrepresent any coins and plenty of their offerings have CAC stickers.

I've never won an auction there that I wasn't happy with.

I have purchased quite a few coins on teletrade myself so I like them. I also like Heritage but with the buyers premium on both of those sites its harder to get a deal (teletrade is easier than Heritage) than it is on ebay, but you don't have to worry about the sellers reputation which in some cases is a wonderful trade off

I've gotten several coins from Teletrade and will get more in the future. Their login system is very strange (a secret number plus your zip code), which is my biggest complaint, as it's not that secure, relatively speaking. I had to return one coin, but didn't have any problems getting my refund.

I like them as well. On Tuesday, there is no buyers fee but the selection can be limited on that day. Just keep in mind the buyers fee on the other day and ypu can get a decent deal.

This is odd. Almost every day there is something mentioned about ebay. Good, bad, horrible, great, fantastic, etc. yet so few ever even mention teletrade. I wonder why.
Of course being a person that never uses the internet for buying anything, I miss out on thoes super on line places I guess.

I notice all the responses here are from the US, but would you happen to know if there are any additional fees for a Canadian buyer? I just made an account and it was fine, and I can't find anything about additional fees, but you never know.

Here is the link to their fees. A 15% buyers fee would apply, not sure how taxes and shipping would work for Canada.

(they do outline shipments to Canada on that page)

I've only used Teletrade once. If it's a coin you really want, yes, keep the buyers fees in mind.

I like it a good service and very reputable people running it. No complaints in over a decade of using them myself.

I used to bid on Teletrade but I stopped winning lots at prices I thought were reasonable. Maybe it got too popular? They also became 8% more expensive when they relocated from New York to California; as a CA resident I suddenly had to add 8% sales tax to any successful winning bid on top of the buyer's fee.

I've sold a few extra coins through Teletrade as well but was not particularly happy with the proceeds. Sure, I was selling some less-desirable pieces but they brought less money than I expected.

Teletrade is a hassle-free way to buy and sell. As others have noted, keep the buyer's fee in mind when bidding.

I use Teletrade when I am buying key and semi key date coins that I want to be certified. Other than that I buy raw coins primarily from ebay. I have no complaints about Teletrade except that in a lot of cases their starting bid prices are higher than I am willing to pay for the coin. Maybe that is the reason that in some of their auctions many of their coins are unsold.
