What reason did he give for not being able to take better pictures? Being an ebay seller why would he lose money selling the coin this way to you? You know as well as I do that if genuine and with some good pictures the coin would bring far more on ebay even taking into account the fees he's avoiding. I personally wouldn't do it, but one must take gambles to...

He just refunded me the money via paypal, and now won't respond to emails. This deal is dead in the water, there is something up here that is for sure. At least I got all my money back lol

Sounds very fishy to me. :-)
You're lucky not to have gotten further involved.

Quote: He must have figured out what it was worth. Same thing I've been thinking. He either didn't know what it was worth, found out it's a fake, someone he knows offered him a lot more.

I'm not posting his ebay ID yet as he could be a honey hole. We are still talking but he seems very fishy, want me to send it to his moms account now. If it authentic does anyone have a guess on what its worth?

as long as you can get your money back then I guess it wasnt such a bad gamble, but me personally I wouldnt have bothered I dont trust any CC's on ebay unless I know the bidder and they have a 100% rating

Paypal has buyer protection and if there are any problems just start something up. I got ripped off two separate times once for $400 and once for $50 I got ALL the money back both times.

If I was you I would be happy to get my money back and would start looking for one with better pics. The whole deal sounds bad.

Your selling a coin like that, and the best you can do are those photos! I would have ran like a gazelle!

Run from this and don't look back. If it's too good to be true ... it most likely isn't.
