Defintely worth a shot at sending it to ANACS I'd bet a 75% chance of an overdate coming back in a details holder! Great pick.

Definitely looks like the real deal. I'd send it in, and what an awesome find that is!

It looks like it has a very good chance of being the overdate.

I am not an E/V expert, but it looks pretty clear to me. Nice find!

Top of the 7 is way to clear to be anything else. Might well be a thousand dollar find.

Thanks again, everyone. You all have me excited!

Just Carl - A thousand dollars? I could understand getting that price if I didn't have to restore the date with vinegar, but I thought doing so dropped the price DRASTICALLY?

All depends on the buyers. I've seen acid dates go for fine prices.

I would say the date is legible enough that an acid test won't be necessary. But boy is it close to being gone, glad it wasn't thrown into somebody's pocket a couple more times, that date might have been history! Great find.

I believe the picture is the "After acid" result.

Usually for normal dates, yes. But for a coin like that, to many collectors out there looking for that type.
