There is a faint 3 under the scratch. I also think I can see the very top of a 1 next to it.

This coin might be worth submitting for authentication. At least to have it attributed as a genuine 13-S Type II. Congrats for a great pick!

I took at look at this and said to myself, "Oh, that's a 1913."
A good deal of folks agree.
I see a three.
The was no 1933.
Perhaps a 1923?
No, I still see a one.
Time to turn this inquiry over to the die specialists for confirmation.
Quite a nice find.

I sold all of my Buffaloes except for one: a 1913-S Type II.
If I had to own only one, this was it.

To Polo and nod:
Rather than two, nicely [ 3 ] curved loops, the top loop is angular, as in the number 7.
Eliminate the 1923 as a possibility and you are left with a 1913.
What a disappointment!

Great cherry pick!

Congrats.

As good as mine:
I got a batch of junk silver and it had a 1921 SLQ in there.

Now sitting in an ANACS G-4 holder.
