Okay, If one has to go, I would keep the 1882 solely based on the coin itself. It has a lot more eye appeal for me. If you base the decision on the plastic case, it's a toss up.

Flip a coin.

I'd keep the GSA one. A 65 in a GSA holder would seem to be a premium to me.

The 1882 is beautifull with the toning and has great eye appeal. The GSA cased 1883in blast white is a looker also. Myself, as a Carson City collecting nut I would have to have both!! Can't have to many CC's.

The Two coins are impressive - if you sell the GSA I'm potential buyer

Keep both unless you really have to sell one of them. Otherwise keep the '82 as the '83 in a GSA holder is extremely common and the '82, though the same grade, is actually the better of the two from an eye appeal stand point and it also is a very slightly better date compared to the '83 and'84 CC's.

I personally like the 1882 better, and I am not a collector of Morgans so take my advice with a smidgen of NaCl

Unfortunately, I dont have the cash to spend on both -- I've always wanted a GSA coin, and I've always wanted a higher end morgan.. So to have two Morgans, I'm splitting the requirement up :)

I've posted it on the Member CCF Sales section. If you're interested in it, feel free to buy it or send me a PM :)

I would keep both but if I had to choose I would keep the 1883 GSA.

But, I would DEFINITELY try to find a way to keep both!

Spent the rest of my money on that 1865 MS61 Seated half :) I'm sure you'd keep that one over both of these Moe!

I like original GSA coins myself but this one looks overgradded by a full point to me. I'd unload it first. Your 1882-CC is really nice with great color!

I LIKE the 82 better, so if for my pleasure and my collection, that is the keeper.

You can always get another 83 in the box later again. Maybe even a better one

very nice 82! I think you made the right choice, you can always buy a beautiful higher-grade GSA CC later and probably get a better deal. (Keep me in mind, If I ever get 250 posts I have an 1883 and 1884 CC GSA to sell)
