1804 Draped Bust --- Fake Or Real?

Lightwind, there are only 15 1804 Dollars in existence. Any one of them coming onto the market will become the most expensive coin ever sold. The chances of your coin being real are infinitesimal.

All the same, it's only fair and appropriate that the member be allowed to respond before anyone passes any judgement. I'm not comfortable with the direction this could take; don't expect it to be tolerated should it do so.

if it is the coin pictures at coin facts there is still the question on whether it is authentic or not, it seems this is a class III coin which means mine employee's minted it to sell to collectors because there were only 8 class I's made. So to some numismatists these are nothing but fakes made to deceive just as if someone at the mint producing some older coin now and getting it out of the mint and him doing it to deceive collectors

I don't think anybody meant to be quick to judge. People didn't realize the coin you posted was just an example picture-- rather than the acual coin itself...

he is saying he did not know the 1804 was a rare coin? Most anywhere a real 1804 dollar image is posted, there will be a reference to the fact it is very rare.

Now, he has purchased one, after all this chatter about fakes?

Flame me if you want, but something is not right here. But, in fairness, I will be listening for the explanation.
