I don't submit coins but my favorite slab is Compugrade. Small like ANACS but clear and made of a denser plastic that gives it more heft in hand.
SEGS is also good due to its more impact resistant plastic that makes it harder to crack and more resistant to chipping. It also has the coin identification visible on the top edge of the slab so you know what is in the slab without having to remove it from the box. ANACS copied that seven years later to great crowing about their "innovation".

As long as it's NGC or PCGS, it really doesn't matter to me. The only thing that I like about PCGS that NGC can't do, is fit into the NGC box with the lid on. But either way, it's not a problem.

I posted a rant in another thread, but to summarize, I think ANACS could double their business with a better looking slab. Even simply going back to the blue from the yellow would make me happy. I voted NGC, but the new PCGS slab is almost as good.

I have ANACS NGC and PCGS holdered coins. I prefer PCGS as a TPG because their slabs, IMHO, fetch higher prices, but NGC holders feel and look so good and they stack really good too. If PCGS used NGC holders the world would be perfect!

It's funny, nobody mentioned ICG. I've never used them.

I have no problem buying an ICG slabbed coin. In fact with the price differential I sometimes prefer it. Especially if it is bought as part of my collection, not an investment.

PCGS for me. I like the clear plastic look. Dont like the white on the NGC holders especially where it touches the coin even if it is a newer pronged one.
I do like the black ones that NGC had and think its less distracting and actually helps the coin stand out a bit. If they used those I would like the look a lot more

I like the older holders of (alphabeticly) ANACS (Small white ones) and PCGS (before the three prong knock offs of NGC). I like the newer holder of NGC (with the four prong insert).

I really want to vote but it seems the first slabbing company is not listed in the Voting Polls. I do not Know why? ACG or Accugrade start 1984, followed by PCGS on 1986 after the owner David Halls paid 100,000.00 US dollar to Mr. Hager for his expertise and his PATENT, then the third slabbing company is NGC start 1987. I also surprised SGS was included in the POLL but ACG is not? So many older collectors still keep their coin in Accugrade Holder.. although this company is not in business anymore. Just wondered..

Actually, the first grading company was ANACS (American Numismatic Association Certification Service) which started grading coins in the early '70's (1972?)
While ACG (AccuGrade) was the next grading company to open, collectors with extensive experience in graded/slabbed coins generally do not include ACG in the top three, or even consider the grades to be reliable. There have been numerous legal actions involving this company and known circulated and problem coins that were graded/encapsulated by ACG as uncirculated and problem-free coins. I have seen quite a few ACG coins in the past 10 years that were grossly overgraded.
These are the reasons why ACG is not one of the selections in this poll. If you are satisfied with ACG grading, that is fine, but most collectors only rank PCGS, ANACS, ICG, and NGC as the top respected third-party grading companies. On a side note, I have been very pleased with classic coins graded by SEGS, also.
