Maybe the video showed that he only gave the clerk 100 bucks and he's embarrassed.

I don't think it even got that far.

I'd bet he found the other $100 either in a coat pocket or in the house, making any followup with the bank irrelevant.

You guys don't need to keep insulting him like this. He said they haven't gotten back to him yet and he would try to follow up. Maybe we should just drop this thread. Too many negative assumptions flying around with no evidence. Even if he did make a mistake... mistakes happen, so he shouldn't be ridiculed.

in this case, word of mouth ain't gonna do anything so it's better to have the bank manager review the tapes since most banks have cameras on every teller.

Thank you, murrellington. Well said. Too much of that has been going on around here recently.

I definitely wasn't trying to ridicule SD. I was merely speculating on why he hadn't responded. Don't be so sensitive.

Yeah, lighten up, don't be so hard on the membership. We are all brothers here and if the brother messed up ..he can come clean without any bad feelings. I suspect that we will never get an update though...to much time has passed and he has most likely dumped his screen name and signed up as someone else by now.

You are joking....right?

He posts almost every day and has been doing so for almost 2.5 years.

If you all are really that concerned...has anyone PM'd him?

Yeah I PM'd him. And that's how I was informed that the bank has not gotten back to him yet. And he probably ditched this thread due to all the hostility towards him. He's a real nice guy and meant no wrong, $100 is a lot to him. And even if he ever does find out that it was his mistake, I don't know why he would want to post it here. Like I said before, a few of your are being and have been pretty harsh towards him. If I were him, I wouldn't respond back to this thread even if I got the money back.

Yes we are a family here, and need to act more like it. A little more compassion would be nice.

dysfunctional family?

Why would a regular poster purposely post something like a troll post? And if he made a mistake, I want a show of hands...

Possibly just got tired of all the replys that accomplished very little and just drippled on and on and on. Many posts are like that. Very possibly he is just waiting for the bank to do whatever they are going to do. Then he will just say what that was.

Time to break up the dog pile, so consider this the end for now.

While he is not obligated to do so, SDcoinguy may post a follow-up and link back to this thread.
