Turn over the 1908 Indian; look in the little space at the bottom under the wreath. Is there a small letter there?

we'd love to see closeups of all flying eagles and indians dated before 1880.

Lots of potential there. I hope you find some rare ones in that group.

Slick24, This is what a 1908-S looks like. Do you see an "S" on your coin? If so, you win the Grand Prize! And if you have a 1909 with an "S" ...... WOW!

Awesome find and have fun searching through them. The common wheats (1936+) aren't worth more than about 3-4 cents each, unless they are a variety (RPM or DD). Best to sort them by year and mintmark and look for the ones with the low mintages. Get a Red Book or look up the mintages on the web. Handle them with care and get some cardboard mylar 2x2 holders for the FE and Indian cents and anything older than them. The large cent will fit in a half dollar size holder, since it is just a mm or two smaller. Did you find any Half Cents?

Searching coins is fun and so good luck. Most wheat Lincolns aren't worth much but there are a few key dates. Many of our forum topics areas will help you get the answers you need.

Unless you have key date, just plain regular coins. I see you have a flying eagle, maybe fine condition. 35 dollars. Other then that, just short change, lol. Hope yo enjoy collecting as much as us.
