This is a World War II coin from Poland and is Nazi Occupation coinage. The Nazi's just restruck old Polish coinage on zinc without bothering to change the year.

I'll post a picture of it later on, but my dad gave me his Sergeant Major's Academy coin after he got his promotion.

These coins are again from WWII. The first coin is from the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia, what was western Czechoslovakia.

June 18th will be the bicentennial of the War of 1812. It ended in 1814, December 24. The Battle of New Orleans that launched Andrew Jackson's political career occurred in 1815 but after the peace treaty was signed.

Here's my contribution to this great thread. Three dimes, the top one is 1944, bottom left 1918, and bottom right is 1954.
The year World War I ended, the year of D-Day in World War II, and the year after the Korean war ended (I only have one 1950's dime). I learned something yesterday about the dime that relates to this as well. The three symbols on the back are an olive branch, a torch, and an oak branch, symbolizing peace, liberty, and victory. One more thing, the 1918 dime, along with 4 others, I got on ebay because the seller was donating the entire proceeds to going to a charity which helps wounded veterans, Fisher House http://www.fisherhouse.org/. So next time you're on ebay, check out auctions that benefit a charity, or just make a donation.

And Albania, which was occupied by Italy. This coin bears the mintmark for Rome, the same as the coin above.
