I have started a Peace Dansco...
I like them very much, probably more than Morgans, if only because
it is a shorter and much more attainable set.

I have about half a set, but they are all circulated.
I hope to upgrade slowly into a really pretty set... one day.

David those are insane. You always have such high quality coins, I love it.

And nice 1934-S Larry. I love circulated and uncirculated Peace dollars! What did yours grade?

I think it might be closer to AU.

But ANACS liked it at XF45 which is probably correct.

I'm shooting for XF45 for that date for my set as well. I'm doing a MS62 set, with AU for the tougher ones. And most likely XF for 34 s, 28, 21, etc.

I actually have no money for the time being. My wife let me spend $150 and I already spent $75. Thanks for the offer though.

I have a 1934-S, unfortunatly someone drew in black marker all over it though I think it was a while ago.

Acetone might be able to remove it.

yeah try some acetone rachums. If it is just marker, I'm sure it will come right off.

My wife bought me a very nice 1921 as an anniversary present Tuesday.
Nice showing of the hair where many are flat due to the high relief.
Not nearly as nice as mysilveryyears coin on page 1, but a good example of a EF coin with patina.
I'll get a pic if the sun ever comes out here in upstate NY. 4 to go!

Thanks Murrellington, amongst other things I got her a Seated quarter Dansco with one in it.
That way when we go to auctions and shows she can look for something for herself. Her first interest in coins.
Nothing like going big time right off the bat.

Yeah wow, I started with State Quarters and then ATB, now I bought my 1932 to 1998 quarter dansco. It will be a while til I go for the Seated quarters. She is starting big. That's cool that she has an interest too! What a keeper.

I've posted this one before on another thread.

But this one seemed like a good place to share it again.

I don't know much about Peace dollars but it seems like die cracks are rare on them. That's awesome!
