I am on east coast so it is hard to find gold. I just got into it a year ago and have done allright panning and sluicing. I usually only go one afternoon a week after work For a few hours What I have pictured is typically what I find, but like silver it all adds up slowly. I just got into roll hunting this winter and was on fire when I first started but I believe I have dried up my local banks. So I will probably focuse more on gold for the summer Oh who am I kidding I will still order boxes. Hopefully I will hit a monster box and a big old nugget this summer.Good luck to all this week.

I know there is gold found in reasonable quantities in Virginia and Georgia. Based on the geology of the areas I suspect you would find some in Tennessee and the Carolinas. We even get some glacially deposited gold here in Ohio!

I did not get to go out last week to pan or roll hunt but this is this weeks finds from two hours of panning one brook and two hours sluicing another brook. The halves are from $350 searchedf and I got lucky to find 5 64's and 4 67's. The dimes are from about $300 searched. 2 64's 1 5 I tried to post a pic but the image optimizer is not working I will try a little later.
