The end with the 09 S was obviously pushed together to allow enough room to put a nicely worn down LWC in it. The seller is just trying to spark that curiosity in the average dummy.

-note- My 6 year old nephew saw the picture and said "you wouldn't fool me with that garbage"..he's learned quite well from his uncle it seems!

Who in their right mind would sell a roll of "unsearched" Lincolns on ebay with a 1909-S showing? This roll is not machined wrapped, it is a re-roll done by hand in a used machine roll.

Sucker alert!

I just found a worse seller doing the same thing. On this auction, the 1909-S was also face up and guess what? The buyer found an AU 1909-S VDB for just $350! What do you know! I'm no expert, but that mint mark and LIBERTY just don't look right.

Also looked at his closed auctions. All rolls from the fed bank in Denver. Many with 1916 mercs on the end. Now I'd think that there would have been enough control at the federal reserve bank back then to keep them from accidentally rolling dimes into penny rolls. Odd that it's always a 1916 and always on the end and always face up! Must be a magnetic repulsion from the 09 VDB that always seems to be on the other end.

Yes, but this second seller is a real crook. He takes plain kraft paper tubes and rubber stamps them with the name of a legitimate bank. Then he puts in 48 junk cents and something to attract attention on the ends and is averaging over $100 a roll. Yet he has 100% positive feedback.

"I start the bid low, so your in complete control! "

I hate to be a grammar nazi but stupid things like not knowing the difference between your and you're really irks me.

If you're going to pretend to be a professional at least learn the basics :(
