There is a sucker born every minute. $61 for a penny with some super glue on it. Sad doesn't begin to describe it. I'll never buy anything from that seller.

What's really sad is there were 8 different clueless bidders bidding more than face value for it. Probably all thought they had a chance at a once-in-a-lifetime error coin worth thousands. At least, the seller has a 14-day money back guarantee! Blind leading the blind.

I do at least have to give the seller credit for starting at 99 cents, you can't blame him for the 11 bids that followed after that

That's awful. How can this seller have perfect feedback with coins like this?

Well, a quick peek shows the moniker is correct - this seller sells mainly sports cards. In fact this is the ONLY coin in completed listings that I could find. Honest mistake perhaps but I hesitate to even give that grace given you can almost visually flake off the glue. I would expect a seller who deals in collectibles would have more sense, skill, and conscience than that.

Shameful.

I think you can but you need to use the direct link for reporting problems with coins unfortunately I've lost that direct link and ebay has changed their website once again to make it almost impossible to find anything.

I am new to coin collecting, but no way no how would I ever spend 61 dollars on a penny from ebay. If I ever did consider something like that, I would definitely ask here first.

I think the CCW will agree that this is nothing more than
superglue residue from coins previously glued together.
