If you just ground the edge of a error coin OH NO! If you sand the ground edge flat and polish you should be able to see the glue joint. If no glue joint maybe it is an error. can we have a good pic or the edge of the coin not ground?

Not all of these have the seam on the edge. Some were lathed out and the second coin dropped into it so the seam would be on the inside of the rim.

The magician's quarter that I found (and I really wish I could take a picture of it) was made by grinding out the reverse of one quarter, leaving the rim and then grinding everything but the obverse off of another quarter.
That obverse is shoved into the rim and Hey Presto! it's a double headed coin.
I never saw one until a couple of years ago and now I hear about them all the time. It makes me think that it's a machine shop school assignment.
So check your coin all along the inside of the rims and see if you can spot where it was cut. I can't tell from the photos.

Finally I see it! See arrow. The person that did this is good because the joint is only visiible due to the heat caused by grinding.  |

Is a two headed error coin even possible?
Years ago a double headed 50 cent piece was spent at my store. 1964 was the date. I do remember that much and I should still have it somewhere.

Very possible Magicians coin with the two heads on the 1964. People spend them without realizing it was their coin toss winner. We find them. The ring on the table should be different than a 90% silver other example. |

^ What I'm saying is that all two headed coins must be magician coins.
Is a two headed coin from the mint possible? Are there any known examples of a two headed error coin from any year any series?
