They do have a 14 day return policy and if you pay with paypal the worst that can happen to you as the buyer is a bit of inconvenience sending it back to them.

Apparently there is good money to be made buying toned, grimey hard dates and errors (like a 2000 $1 mule) and putting a little elbow grease into them for resale. Ok that's all I'm going to say about the issue. I swear.

Had a '33 in about a grade better than this one. Was included in a pre decimal collection, where each type represented by the rarest date except the '30 penny, which eas represented by a '25.
That collection was consigned way back in 1976, to help raise a deposit on our first house. Was sold on a 20% commission to the prices I chose, through M.R.Roberts. The guy who handled it now works for I.S.Wright, and has been a good buddy of mine for four decades.

Sel In my opinion you made an astute decision in 1976 and sold your collection to secure your future financial independence by buying your house. Coins come and coins go, as long as the passion is there then NOTHING is lost

You can't put a roof over your head using a small stack of rare coins!
I bought our house for $35,000 in '76. Paid it off on a single income in 7 years. Current value $450,000. That's an average compound interest rate, tax free, of more than 7% P.A. for 36 years.
I have since built up another collection bigger than the first, which includes eight ancient gold coins.

Those fine scratches will be found on every circulated coin, this seller has just used photos that show these marks (indirectly illuminated).
It may have been washed or dipped at some stage, but I see no evidence of harsh cleaning.

Quote: Looks like this seller may have earned himself a spot on your list of Dodgy buggers That's definitely a possibility. I'll need to have a look at what he/she has been up to lately before I take that action though.
