My main concern with the OP photo shot is not the fact she's not wearing gloves, but that she's holding the coin way up off the ground; I assume there's a big fluffy object just out of camera shot for it to land on, in case she drops it. A drop from that height onto a sharp object or hard surface could create a dint or edge knock that subtracts tens of thousands of dollars off the value.
In that sense, not wearing gloves is good, since you're far more likely to mishandle and drop a coin while wearing gloves.
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis

I doubt very much that another couple of dings or scratches will make any difference to the condition of that particular coin

I agree with Sap. Some years ago I held the highest graded example of a 1931 dropped 1 Indian ($18,000 at the time) when the dealer showed it to me. I dropped it (bummer). Luckily my other hand caught it.

Some on CCF can't really complain about this. Probably 1/4 of the pictures posted here or in the auction section are of coins in someone's ungloved hand.
edit - more like 1/4 of the pictures here

Far out that is really risky handling a coin like that! imagine if it fell! I am sure coinworks wont be very forgiving

it looks like he just dug that coin out of the ground with his bare hands. and he/she still couldn't get rid of that fungus.
