Errorist, Incredible Thread Very nice collection of die crack coins. I especially like the die cracks on proofs. as mentioned earlier they are quite hard to find. I am raiding through the photobucket accounts to find some decent die crack coins to add to this great thread.

I know Die Cracks are more prevalent on older coinage but I have a small case of OCD when it comes to 1883 No Cents Liberty Nickles

And this one is one of my favorites It is a die crack on a proof reverse also has a strike through on the obverse. I was almost besides myself when I ran across this one. Could not believe what I was seeing in my Loupe. I don't know this one was able to get past the inspectors at the Mint

Two of them ? How Cool I thought I was going to have a coronary find the one. I am hoping to get mine back soon from Ken Potter after seeing it he wanted to photograph it and use it for an article he was working on.

errorist, I really like that die cracked Washington quarter Very Cool. SGS is from what I have learned over the years about as close to a basement grading service as one can get Take a look around ebay if you get a chance You will notice tht just about everything from SGS is graded Mint State 70 or Proof 70 Still a decent coin holder though.
