A roll of collectors. An album of collectors. An accumulation of collectors.

Thanks for this topic, I like the thought process. An issue of collectors? A cast of collectors? A number of 'numismaticocologists'?

I believe that the collective noun for experts is "battery" hence: "a battery of numismatists." :-)

May I add, from the world of people who own/have owned ferrets: "A 'business' of coin collectors?"
A business of ferrets go about their task of gathering food with great determination. A business of collectors does much the same thing, but only with coins.
A toss up as to which is more determined. But the term "a business of ferrets" is widely accepted among owners. My money is still in my pocket as I cannot see any difference. A determined ferret and a determined collector - NO DIFFERENCE!

I think we need to invent a new term for this. A Noddle of Noodlers.

'Collectors' could be collectors of anything, so it has to be something for numistmatists in particular.
I have heard of a 'parliament of owls' and a 'murder of crows', how about a 'mint of numismatists'?
THAT will make you stumble over your tongue!
