im 19 and blind.
No can do, I can see all their page, I can see all their feedback and previously sold items, but when I click send on the message it gives me an error saying
"sorry we were unable to send this message to the seller, this seller only accepts messages from within the U.S"
or along those lines anyways, basically no way of contacting, hence this is my last resort :(

Another way of doing this then is to get one of our esteemed US members to contact the seller on your behalf

Hopefully one of the Mod's will see this post and move it to the Aussie forum. There are many members that should or could possibly tell you how to work this out. Hopefully.

I'm curious what are you going to do if you receive the coin and it's not quite to your liking or you change your mind? By the time your 3rd party receives it, forwards it to you and you receive it, your return window might be over if the seller has a return policy. Just something to consider...

Yes, I agree with coinhunter. I think that this could be a disaster if you need to return the coin. Potentially, I see many problems.

Id keep searching around. Just see the potential for to much to go wrong here unless youre willing to eat the cost of the coin if its not to your liking when you get it

I feel bad yet I agree with the others. However I am sure you understand the need for anyone helping you out here to cover all bases. With that said, I will be more than happy to email you a contract regarding the purchase and procedure should you be interested. PM me.

Quote: even worse they block everyone from contacting them who doesn't live in the U.S, so I cannot even beg them to ship overseas. Sadly, I suspect that that's the very reason they put the comms-block on - they were sick and tired of overseas people begging them to make a special case, just for them. ebay, PayPal and the USPS have conspired to make shipping coins oversaes from America fraught with difficulty, especially shipping coins to Australia which the USPS says is against regulations. More and more US-based sellers are refusing to send internationally for that reason. But I feel your pain and frustration. It took me three years to find a ebay seller who was prepared to sell me an American 20 cent coin in reasonable condition. Quote: You could as Sap realy nicely, He is online at the moment

Yes but he would have far mor US contacts than me or you mateActually, I don't have many contacts in the US, not for proxy bidding and shipping stuff, anyways. I hardly ever even try to buy stuff from there and I've never asked anyone there to proxy-bid for me. If you're still stuck and you need someone in the US to be your proxy bidder, can I suggest getting in touch with one of the US-based mods like rggoodie. You can send any of the forum moderators an email by clicking on the send email link in any of their posts or on their profile, or by sending an email direct to [theirusername]@coincommunity.com.
