Are you in West Aust? We do well over here for mules.I have three so far - much to my Secretary's disgust cos she was the one who first told me about them and has yet to find her first!

Thanks all.
This one was given to me in change (as far as I can work out) at the gift shop at the Jenolan Caves on Saturday (so sorry, not WA) and I almost spent it at the Blackheath Fish and Chips on the way home!
Shame on me, I didn't check my change straight away (cause were no 50c's I guess). I was about to hand it over at the fish and chip shop and spotted it at the last minute!
If only I could find a twist top 50c (rotated die)...

Brilliant pickup there Steve - oooh I'd like to find one of these....

Gee, that sounded close, how you almost spent it. All the more reason to check every coin, cos you just don't know what may be in there. I put 'new' coins in a different pocket, and only after checking do I transfer them to the spending pocket, or coin jar.

Is it going onto ebay? They're doing very well at present, too much for my limited budget, I'm afraid.

Great catch! And thank goodness for sharp eyesight and the presence of mind to actually look at what you were about to hand over.

Hi Steve

Awesome find with a lovely story to it too. Thanks for sharing it, and the pic of your "mule" .

I used to do a lot of backpacking and camping in the lovely Blue Mountains, and south towards Jenolan Caves. Very rugged country.

A great way to finish a weekend outing, methinks.
(I'll have a mule with my fish and chips please )

Great catch Steve, I've been looking for ages and must have noodled 1000's and so far no luck, maybe I should try buying some fish and chips.
