(This is a *safe* video, honest. :-) )

Yeah I know it was stupid but I was so excited that my judgement was suspect. However, I was really worried about the weight and now I know full well why.

I will not open it as I will have some fun with it. It was still a nice find.

Thanks for all your help.

As a note: Apologies to the staff for differences of opinion! Interested parties can find that one on their own.

However, *here* is a video that *is* undoubtedly family friendly which shows a similar Magician's coin in action:

This set, however, is magnetized.

I knew there had to be an easier way to separate these coins. After 25 or so, and banging them on a table inside a towel, I have discovered the 'Bang Ring'.

This sure got me and I should have learned but I got bit again this week.

The wife found a 1988 P with a rotated reverse. I was shocked and although I knew it was a mint error I told her if real, maybe $25 or so...

Anyhow it weighed in at 11.5g, too heavy. It was rotated about 60% or so. Well upon the flip test, it is another trick coin as there is NO sound.

The thing that is different about this one is that it is EXTREMELY well done. No rings around the edge like the 1976 one.

Why would someone even bother? I will add it to my collection as another fake/magician coin.

Why open them? Has anyone ever found anything worth a hoot in them? Seems like a pain for no reason other than curiosity.
