I use the saflips the purple penny webiste sells and I've never had any sort of issue with them,.

I have some coins that I love to bust out and look at more often so maybe they're a good idea. I have a small ancients collection and perhaps they would be prefect for that because on one side I can have all the information.

I use 2x2 for my good coins and put them in purple penny folders ***free plug*** http://www.thepurplepenny.com/419,-...p-pages.htmlI like the small ones because I can't over fill them and they are not as heavy for me. Plus you can stack them or put them away in a small space. |

Mine are currently in 2x2s and housed in 24 pocket polypropylene pages I once had for storing 35mm slides, and housed in a filing cabinet. Ideally I'd like them housed in albums so as to be more accessible, but there's the cost of buying all new pages for binders, plus the binders themselves  My spares are in 2x2s or plastic bank baggies, but there's coins spread out all over the place here.....  |

Lighthouse have a large range of accessories available and not all of those are pvc free. Take care when choosing for your own collection.

My main sets are in 2x2's then albums, other coins and spares are 2x2 then boxed.
Everything goes into a big steel box that is part of the building.
Albums are stored laying flat, not stored standing upright. This is to remove the weight of the coins pulling on the rings of the binder.

One problem I've noticed with the Renniks 2x2's is the mylar is rather tight, and sometimes it can split when holdering up a coin, exposing it to the elements  The adhesive isn't the tightest, either, and I staple them up for security - they tend to come apart otherwise. The Importa Dutch(?) ones that are almost the same as Renniks in design are better quality, the mylar's got a bit of give in it. |

cowans 2x2's harder to staple but the extra thick cardboard actually protects the coins, normal holders are thin, cowans are thicker and actually keep the coin within the thickness of the holder and give much more protection.
