Jeffrose,
I believe there are 14 holes, but some of them are big holes. No 1893 s, or 1895 yet as I'm gonna save them till the end and get a couple nice graded ones. Evidently I would love to have the whole set graded in PCGS AU or better. Though there is a descent chance my silver will change hands a few times before I die I will never sell my Morgan set. The only way that would happen is if the wife and I decide to buy a beach house somewhere when we get old.
Great thread, I highly enjoyed it.

As mentioned, I see no reason that we cant keep posting to this as we acquire new additions to our CC hoards.

"Oh, oh say can you C (C,) On the CCF bright, What so proudly we hail As coins that delight!
From the hills way out west, Came the coins that are best. Let's not let it rest As we pursue our quest
To own at least one And two would be better! So MUCH nice eye candy And more would be dandy!
Ahem ... that is my CC rant. Thank you all. Keep 'em coming.

I just got an 1876 quarter that I bought on the bay. I posted a thread about it showing the sellers listing. So, I got it and gave her a quick dip to knock off the heavy gunk. And please, hold your you ruined the coin comments. Anyway, it is indeed a crack and not just a stain. So a lamination it is...

smokeriderdon, I think that the cracked planchet is cool! Broken CC may give you a "pretty penny" for this CC quarter.

I think the picture of the reverse is off because I can see way more detail when I look at it in hand.

Thanks. I took a flier on it at 34 bucks. VACookey thought I was crazy, but it worked out.
