You're welcom, its great because up top in the browser link, you can just switch out the word copper for silver or copper for nickel and so on and just pulls it all up! Best site I've ever come across and needless to say ...the only one I ever use anymore.

@silvercoinrn Keep us posted. Nice to see the collection has a mix of "junk"silver, bullion and some gold in there, Nicely diversifyed.
Man I'm bad at spelling... you all will get used to it! CHEERS!

That site is great. I am wondering curious about the .500 gold coin in the first picture. Does anyone know if it is a real gold and what the weight is?The guy said that he bought them so long ago he does not really know anything more than what is written on the cards.

I'd be suspicious of the one labeled "MINI $20 1908". Doubtful it's gold.

Well, I dont know about the other coins but I think I can help with the Egypt 2 piastres 1944 silver coin. It ranges from $4.00 to $10.00 according to the grade. May be a $1 +/- according to shipment included or not.

To assist in establishing silver value I recommend en.numista.com

http://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces3014.html

This gives all of the stats that I see written on the 2x2s
and melt value. The example above is for the 10 cent 1915 Cuba coin.
It shows $2.21 silver.

The link for Currency/Debasement shows $2.19.
No doubt the time of spot price used changes all of the time.

This is the way its done folks! Someone asks for help and actually posts pictures and we all pounce on then 1 by 1. Adding our knowledge where we can and providing tools for the original poster to fill in the blanks. Again, I love this place! I'm gonna get choked up!

A collector is looking to sell his whole set of coins to me. Many of them are Foreign and I have no clue of the price for them.

I really hesitate on things like this. To many details left out. For example do you know this person? How much is he asking or is he requesting you to come up with a price? None of those are slabbed and if you are not a foreign coin person, you really should be careful. Lots of them, many of them, most of them or none of them could be fake. Is this seller in the USA? Does he want cash? Would he take Paypal, a check, money order, etc? Did he give you a reason for selling the whole thing and hopefully it's not one of those ebay stories of a relative died and I know nothing about coins. Is there a return policy? I'm rather a pessimist due to so many not to honest types out there selling coins.

He is in the us. I will be seeing the coin in person before buying. But he had so many that I wanted to research first so I asked for pictures. He bought them all from a few local shops 15 years ago and prior. He wants to sell to help buy a new car.

EGcollector,

Thanks for the help on those two coins. Do you know what the percent of silver in them is?

This would mean you carrying thousands of dollars and you said you have to meet him. Again, me being a pessimistic sort of person, this sounds even more fishy to me.
Why not try to resell to that local shop? Is there a way you could have them all checked out for authenticity?

It contain 50% silver.
But the value of this coin doesn't mainly come from the silver content more than the unique design. King Farouk wanted to resemble his father King Fuad who made in 1933 a unique 8-sided 2 1/2 Milliemes coin so in 1944 came out the only 6-sided Egyptian coin.

Some of these coins were gold plated and were thrown on King Farouk and Queen Nariman during their marriage ceremony in 1951.

Forgot to say that it has a low mintage number (32,000) compared to other previous issues of silver 2 piastres 1937(500,000), 1939 (500,000)and 1942 (10,000,000)and those were 83% silver.
