Looks very nice! Quote: Any thoughts on how to label the spine? Not sure. My first thought is an electronic label maker, but that might take away from the classy look. My second thought is some silver or gold transfer letters, but that will require patience. Quote:I'd prefer to get all the Statehood Quarter FDCCs in one album...so I'm hesitating on buying another one for them and two albums will be expensive plus pretty roomy. Thoughts? Do not force it, you do not want the album to look stuffed. If it requires multiple albums, the so be it. I think they will hold up better as well. Just my opinion.

Ok, I ordered two more of those albums today for State Quarters and will let you know how it goes. The company I ordered from is pretty fast with shipping... I made my last order with them on a Thursday and it showed up on my porch on Monday. :)

Quote: I am certain you will be happy with the additional albums. I think you're right about that. I really like the way the first one turned out! Will let you know what I come up with for spine labels. May have to wander around Hobby Lobby for inspiration. Or take up calligraphy and buy some gold chisel-tip paint pens... I'll have all my $1 Prez and Statehood FDCCs taken care of with these 3 albums. Now I just have to figure out what to do with my onsey-twosey FDCCs like the Westward Journey Nickel set. :) I think there will be plenty of room in the 2nd Quarters album, so maybe I'll just stick them at the end with a separator page. Hmm....

CelticKnot -
You seemed pleased with your vendor for the Vario 2Cs and the albums. Do you mind sharing with us the name of the vendor or a link to the product website?

@bkprewitt - Sure! It's actually the links I posted above - Internet Hobby Supply, Inc. / http://www.ihobb.com. I ordered my 2nd batch yesterday and we'll see if I'm as happy with their service the 2nd go-around. The albums I ordered are the 4-ring binders and apparently they're phasing them out in favor of 3-ring ones so there's a clearance of sorts. I can't tell what the original price was but the binder was 27 bucks or so including slipcase. Doesn't seem like much of a clearance to me, but whatever. Have fun. :)

Well, so far I'm not as pleased with the service as I was last time. I placed the order on Thursday AM and I just got the UPS tracking # today. Estimated delivery Thu, Nov 1. This is coming from California, so Sandy has little to do with it, I'd wager. On their web site it looks like they're only "open" Mon-Thu, so it's possible my order got missed or queued on Thu and today is the first business day for them since I placed my order. Whatever. No real big rush but I'm definitely looking forward to displaying my Statehood Quarter FDCCs.

Well, it is only two more days. At least you have Halloween in the middle to keep you occupied.

Yeah, I'm not too concerned about it. If this were my biggest problem in life, I'd either be doing really well or would be a very boring person. I have plenty of other projects to keep me busy (both numismatic-related and otherwise), including transferring all my circulated Jeffs from Harris folders to Whitman Classic albums and hanging a compressed air hose reel in the garage. That should take a couple of evenings at least. And yes, Halloween!

Wow, that took a while to get all those Jeffs transferred last night (the better part of 5 episodes of Pawn Stars), but it was a good opportunity to audit the collection -- I found that I had messed up on some of them, so I have more holes to fill now! I'll post pics later (and probably in a separate thread to keep on-topic as much as possible here); boy do they look better in that Whitman Classic than in the Harris folders.
I also got my hose reel mounted, so now I'm out of things to do (riiiiiiight) until my FDCC storage shipment comes in. ;)
Happy Halloween!

Big, heavy box on my porch today. And I wrangled my Statehood Quarter FDCCs into the two albums that were in that box. Not sure it's picture-worthy... they look eerily like the one I put my Presidential $1 FDCCs in. :) I did notice that all of my FDCCs have yellowed quite a bit (the coins, not the paper). Anyone else have a similar experience? Still have to find some of the Territory FDCCs and one of the Westward Journey FDCCs. Close to finishing this up. I have a sneaking suspicion that I'm going to need a 2nd binder for my Prez FDCCs.... Forgot there was a Sacagawea FDCC too. Uncovered that gem while cracking open the rest of my FDCC OGPs.

A worthy project! Once you get them all done, you need to take a group photo for us to drool over.
