I'm starting to slow down on my junk silver buys and adding coins with more numismatic value. I am hoping for the price to go down towards the winter. But with the elections coming up who knows what the future holds.

Since the quick spike, it made me think about possibly buying 10gram, 1/2 oz, and 20gram bars, just to have small denoms without having to buy more 90%.....

yes amida, I was just thinking about that..... definitely wouldn't be able to stack 1/2 oz bars as I could be buying way more for the price in the long run.

I always say stack, but always weary when pushing mid 30's....

Reason being, silver volatility kicks in here perhaps (no gurantees) in a month or so and pulls back in to high 20's and some may kick themselves for paying full retail peak prices later....

But then again always personal situation. If all planning long term four or five bucks per oz. either way is gonna be long forgotten say five or ten years down the pike and as meaningless as dust in the wind....

But to truly maximise ones profit potential, buy only in high twenties now, as I am not sure but I bet EdB is not buying right now much. He always seems more patient and strikes at the right dips....

I have been buying, went the local shop yesterday and walked out $600 lighter, and about 18oz heavier.

Agreed with Silver. The mid 30s prices dont seem to last very long. At least the 20s prices have actually be supported for quite some time now where it always seems itll touch low to mid 30s stick for a few weeks and be back down again

I'm finally selling the $14 Face of Silver Washington quarters I bought last year and then regretted.

I'm not convinced that we will see prices in the $20s again anytime soon (perhaps not until the end of the year, if them). On the bright side, my wife has instructed authorized me to go ahead and make a significant purchase of PMs (we're talking in the 50K range) if and when it does dip back down, so here's hoping! I doubt I'd buy all silver due to the sheer weight, but definitely a monster box of something and a couple more 100 ounce bars, with the rest taken up by gold.

Does she have a sister that would be interested in a mid to late 20s male

What? You wanna be adopted?

As to buying... I've got the horns just about fully pulled in. Haven't bought any silver since late July. Am waiting for some of the market turbulence to settle a bit before deciding what to do. Have a cash hoard ready and waiting for a nice pull-back if one comes along. If not, well, my hoard is reasonably healthy at the moment, so no problem.

I would be buying... If I had money at the moment to buy. But when I do get money, expect to see me buying silver at 35 dollars an ounce, and gold at 1750 an ounce

Most of you guys are still looking to increase your silver position, and
most of you are doing it the right way.

Dollar cost averaging by buying a small amount tailored to your budget at each purchase over an extended period of time is a reasonably safe way to go.

It must be remembered that if you eventually wish to sell, that is, get out of your silver position, dollar cost averaging out of your silver position (selling), is also a reasonably safe way to go.

To achieve this, it is helpful to establish a good relationship with whoever you are buying from and can easily SELL to later on, as well.

A dump sale of all of your PM's can be done, but if you put as much effort into selling as you did when you bought, you will do better.

A good technique for selling would be to sell a little of your stash at a time when you actually NEED the cash to buy some necessary something.
