Sweet Kennedy's!

I've actually recently picked up a 1966 sp66 cam. It's in an old pcgs holder that has some damage. I'm sending it back in to give the coin a facelift. I'm sending it out with two nice raw 66sms JFKs. I'm doing it as an "experiment" to see how my grading compares with theirs, then compared to the current pcgs JFK.

Before they go out I will post pics of each and we can all take stab at it!

On the 1970-S, is that red toning or some sort of lighting from the photo?

Heres a photo of my newest coin. a 1966 SMS 66CAM. Some damage to the slab which is kind of annoying, but its too expensive to have it re slabbed. I like the coin though, so I can live with that.

A raw 66 that I mentioned above. I will send this guy in to see what PCGS thinks. What do you guys think? Does it compare to a certified cameo? I decided the other of the two raw coins isn't worth grading. Into the dansco it goes.

Absolutely no idea.

My guess is that someone had it in a folder for many many years and it was secured with a piece of tape? The folder toned the coin, except for the small square.

Your guess is as good as mine.

I am going to say 65 Cameo on that 66. That brown mark just draws my eyes too much to go higher, though I could be being too picky on that.

You know what smoke, I am not surprised that you say that.
The 66 is the one with the busted up slab. It's in pretty bad shape and does make the coin look bad.

If I ever get it out of the slab, I will do before/after pics.

Kit would be like $50 to get it reslabbed... Just not worth it to me.

And if my calculations are correct, this short set (Proof JFK halves from 1964 to 1970, including Accented Hair) is now complete!!!

Great finish to the short set.

Now you will need the 1992 to present silver Kennedys.
